Engineered to keep drivers cool without adding weight, the Alpinestars Kmx-5 V3 Suit Black Dark Shadow was built around maximizing breathability while trimming down the overall weight of the suit.

An exclusive outer shell material, developed from a blend of polyester and polyamide, pairs with a soft knit lining to deliver a strong balance of protection, light weight, and everyday comfort. Circular laser-cut perforations across the upper chest and back work alongside open-weave mesh panels at the torso sides, crotch, and armholes to maximize airflow and keep the driver cool both in and out of the kart. Anatomically engineered, pre-curved arms and legs are patterned to hold the ideal driving position, while a fully floating arm construction and Alpinestars’ newly developed Formula 1-derived extraction handle design add both mobility and a safer way to exit the vehicle if needed. Lightweight knitted wrist and ankle cuffs cut down on bulk, and thigh pockets provide unobtrusive storage for small items. On the safety side, the suit is certified to the new FIA 8877-2022 Grade 1 homologation standard, backed by an advanced dual-layer construction and reinforced seat-bolt paneling designed to minimize material bunching. A premium YKK metal zipper with a double slider rounds out the fit.
