The Alpinestars S-R7 Solid Helmet Ece06/dot Black Matte is developed for riders who demand uncompromising safety, lightweight construction, and aerodynamic precision on both the street and the racetrack. Built around an advanced multi-composite shell and equipped with innovative impact-management technologies, the S-R7 delivers exceptional stability, ventilation, and comfort for high-performance riding in every environment.

Outer Shell

Manufactured using premium carbon fiber, aramid fiber, fiberglass, and pre-preg epoxy resin, the S-R7 offers an outstanding balance of strength, low weight, and impact resistance. Certified to both ECE 22.06 and DOT standards, the shell is engineered to efficiently dissipate impact energy while maintaining exceptional structural rigidity and penetration resistance.

Integrated PLASMA collarbone protection inserts are positioned within specially designed recesses on each side of the helmet to help absorb impact energy and reduce the likelihood of collarbone injuries during a crash. A refined shell profile also provides an expansive 220° horizontal and 57° vertical field of vision, giving riders greater awareness on both road and track.

Inner Shell

Inside the helmet, a sophisticated EPS liner incorporates seven individual sections across six different densities, precisely arranged to maximize energy absorption during impacts. Each helmet size utilizes a dedicated EPS configuration that corresponds to one of three outer shell sizes, ensuring a consistent fit and optimized protection.

The EPS liner is enhanced by Alpinestars’ patented low-friction rotational impact technology. This specialized surface reduces rotational forces transferred to the head during angled impacts by allowing controlled movement between the helmet and the rider’s head. The system exceeds the rotational acceleration requirements of the ECE 22.06 standard by 80%, providing an additional level of rider protection.

Shield and Vision

The S-R7 is equipped with an ECE 22.06-approved Class 1 optical visor featuring dual-sided anti-scratch treatment for exceptional optical clarity and durability. The visor incorporates variable thickness construction, ranging from 1.6 mm at the edges to 2.6 mm at the center for increased strength where it’s needed most.

Integrated Pinlock mounting pins allow installation of the included Pinlock 120 MaxVision anti-fog insert, while a secure tool-free quick-release mechanism enables rapid visor replacement without compromising the weather-tight seal.

Personalized Fit

Alpinestars’ exclusive A-Head Fitment System allows riders to fine-tune both the helmet’s height and angle for a truly customized fit. A micro-adjustable mechanism integrated into the EPS liner adapts the helmet’s position to suit different head shapes, enhancing stability, comfort, and overall riding confidence.

Interior Comfort

The fully removable and washable comfort liner features antimicrobial-treated fabrics for lasting freshness. Ergonomically sculpted 3D cheek pads include integrated channels for eyeglasses, a hydration tube routing system, and an Emergency Release System (ERS) for improved rider safety.

Aerodynamics and Cooling

Every aspect of the S-R7 has been optimized to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve stability at speed. An integrated rear spoiler works alongside sculpted side winglets to minimize turbulence, reduce wind resistance, and lessen strain on the rider’s neck during extended high-speed riding.

To maintain optimal airflow, the helmet incorporates 10 ventilation ports, including six intake vents and four exhaust vents. Adjustable upper vents channel fresh air through internal cooling passages, while chin ventilation directs airflow across the visor to minimize fogging. Dedicated extractor vents efficiently remove warm, humid air from inside the helmet to maintain a cool and comfortable interior.

Connectivity and Accessories

The S-R7 is fully compatible with the Alpinestars A-Connect Communication System, supporting Mesh 3.0 intercom technology, premium Harman Kardon speakers, and advanced noise reduction (communication system sold separately).
