Its lightweight multi-composite shell is manufactured using carbon fiber, aramid fiber, fiberglass, and pre-preg epoxy resin to create an exceptionally strong structure with impressive impact energy distribution and penetration resistance. Certified to both ECE 22.06 and DOT standards, the helmet incorporates integrated PLASMA collarbone protection inserts that help reduce impact forces during crashes while minimizing the risk of collarbone injuries.

The aerodynamic shell profile has been refined through extensive development to reduce drag, improve stability, and lessen rider fatigue at high speeds. Wide peripheral and vertical vision provide an expansive field of view, allowing riders to maintain excellent awareness in demanding riding environments.

Advanced Safety, Ventilation, and Personalized Comfort

The S-R7 features a sophisticated multi-density EPS liner made from seven individual sections across six density levels, strategically positioned to maximize impact absorption. Alpinestars’ patented low-friction rotational impact technology is integrated into the EPS liner to reduce rotational forces transferred to the brain during angled impacts, exceeding the rotational impact requirements of the ECE 22.06 standard by a significant margin.

Its Class 1 optical visor receives dual-sided anti-scratch treatment and is Pinlock 120 MaxVision compatible for outstanding visibility in changing weather conditions. A quick-release mechanism allows fast, tool-free visor replacement while maintaining a secure weather seal.

The patented A-Head Fitment System enables riders to fine-tune both the height and angle of the helmet for a truly customized fit. Fully removable, washable interior liners feature antimicrobial fabric, 3D ergonomic cheek pads, an Emergency Release System (ERS), integrated eyewear channels, and hydration tube routing for enhanced touring comfort.

Optimized Airflow and High-Speed Aerodynamics

Engineered for maximum cooling efficiency, the S-R7 incorporates 10 strategically positioned ventilation ports, including multiple chin, top, side, and rear exhaust vents. Adjustable top vents channel fresh air directly through internal cooling channels, while dedicated chin ventilation helps prevent visor fogging by directing airflow across the shield.

An integrated rear spoiler and aerodynamic winglets improve stability by reducing turbulence and lift, allowing the helmet to remain stable even at higher speeds while reducing pressure on the rider’s neck.

The helmet is also A-Connect Ready, allowing seamless integration with the Alpinestars communication system featuring Mesh 3.0 connectivity, Harman Kardon speakers, and advanced noise reduction technology (sold separately).
