BMW Motorcycle Helmet System 8 Carbon 2026 Grey Mat is a latest-generation modular helmet built for urban riding, touring, and everything between, without sacrificing comfort or protection.

Weight is the priority in the shell’s construction: a blend of 70% carbon fiber, fiberglass, and a carbon-aramid fiber mix keeps the helmet impressively light while absorbing impact effectively. A variable-density expanded polystyrene inner layer backs that up, and the polyurethane padding, wrapped in OEKO-TEX 100 certified polyester, stays soft against the skin over long stretches of riding.

Comfort holds up across two shell sizes, with aerodynamics refined down to a large spoiler that redirects airflow and eases strain on the neck, whether the helmet is closed or flipped open. Ventilation at the head and visor is simple to adjust, and the helmet pairs an integrated sun visor with an anti-scratch main visor and a PinLock 120 anti-fog insert for reliably clear vision. It’s also pre-equipped for the ConnectedRide Com P1 intercom, sold separately.

Safety centers on the MIPS Integra TX system, reducing rotational force on the head during a fall, alongside a neck retention system and a micrometric buckle for secure, precise fastening. The modular design locks into position through a multi-joint mechanism and opens with a single press of the central button, guarded against accidental release, and is approved for use in the open position.
