Rather than trimming down an adult boot, Alpinestars designed this one around a dedicated youth chassis with a scaled shaft height, cutting bulk and keeping weight properly balanced for a smaller leg. That foundation carries outsole technology derived from the brand’s flagship Tech 10 boot, bringing decades of competition-tested protection into a junior-sized package. Movement through the ankle comes from low-profile medial and lateral pivots that allow controlled flex, backed by instep and Achilles accordion flex zones that add leverage without giving up support. Underfoot, a one-piece dual-compound shell reinforced with a steel shank and hard toe protector handles impact and abrasion, while a contoured shin plate and sculpted medial panel, both built from a high-modulus impact-resistant plastic known formally as thermoplastic polyurethane, protect the shin and inner leg from heat and abrasion.
