Low-profile medial and lateral pivots deliver controlled flex at the ankle, supporting natural movement without giving up stability, while instep and Achilles accordion flex zones add leverage and control through the widest range of motion. A one-piece injected dual-compound foot shell, built around an impact-resistant plastic known more formally as thermoplastic polyurethane, integrates a hard toe protector and steel shank for reinforced impact and abrasion protection underfoot. The contoured shin plate and medial panel use the same high-modulus material for heat shielding and impact resistance along the shin and inner leg. Each buckle includes a memory, self-aligning quick-release design for a fast, precise, and repeatable fit, and every buckle is individually replaceable.
