Closure is handled by polymer and fiberglass buckle arms bridged with a lightweight, corrosion-resistant metal, more formally known as aluminium, combining strength with weight savings. Each buckle uses a memory, self-aligning quick-release design for a fast, precise, and repeatable fit, and every one can be replaced individually. That closure system sits on a chassis built specifically for junior riders rather than scaled down from an adult boot, with a youth-specific shape and shaft height that minimizes bulk and balances weight properly. The outsole itself is derived from Alpinestars’ flagship Tech 10 boot, carrying that racing-proven durability and grip down to a smaller size. Low-profile medial and lateral pivots deliver controlled ankle flex, and instep and Achilles accordion zones add leverage and control without giving up support. A one-piece dual-compound foot shell, reinforced with a steel shank and hard toe protector, handles impact protection underfoot, while a contoured shin plate and sculpted medial panel, built from a high-modulus impact-resistant plastic known formally as thermoplastic polyurethane, shield the shin and inner leg from heat and abrasion. A PU-reinforced microfiber upper, extended gaiter, and breathable mesh lining round out a boot built to handle the toughest terrain without weighing a young rider down.
