A one-piece foot shell, injected from a dual-compound impact-resistant plastic, forms the core of this boot’s structure, reinforced by an internal metal shank and a co-injected toe section for extra durability. That same protective plastic, more formally known as thermoplastic polyurethane, also shapes the contoured calf plate, medial protector, outer ankle guard, and heel counter. Rather than locking the ankle in place, a bio-mechanical medial blade system allows controlled front-to-rear flex, keeping support and mobility in balance. Three ergonomic polymer buckles handle closure, each with a micro-adjustable ratchet, memory function, and a self-aligning quick-release design; every buckle can be swapped out individually if it’s ever damaged. An extended synthetic gaiter helps block out water and dirt at the top of the boot, while soft foam wraps the ankle and collar for shock-absorbing comfort. The upper is built from a lightweight, durable base fabric prized for its flexibility and abrasion resistance, a material widely known as microfiber. A full textile interior lining helps manage moisture, and a replaceable EVA footbed with a textile top layer supports the arch. Rounding things out is Alpinestars’ exclusive high-grip rubber outsole, also replaceable, profiled to give a confident feel on the footpegs.
