Built from full bovine leather, the upper is engineered to hold its form while flexing naturally with the foot. Around the heel, a cutaway panel gives the ankle room to move so pedal work never runs into resistance. Every part of the shoe was scrutinized for weight: the hook-and-loop strap is kept to a single layer to stay light and keep pressure off the instep, and the lace closure threads through hidden loops on the inner and outer sides, drawing the foot into a fit that is secure without pinching. The rubber outsole is an all-new design that mimics an asymmetric tire tread, delivering solid grip while resisting water and oil, and its thicker build brings extra cushioning both in and out of the seat. A supportive midsole cushions each step, and a reinforced toe cap protects against scuffing during entry and exit. Inside, a Nomex lining helps keep heat away from the foot during long runs.
