A fully blacked-out take on the sport-sneaker riding shoe, the Alpinestars Speedflight Shoes Black/black deliver a stealthy street look without giving up any of the protective engineering built for real motorcycle use.

Underneath its performance textile upper, built from a seamless reinforcement-panel construction similar to the weave described on the Ripstop Wikipedia page, sits a molded semi-rigid heel piece with co-injected PU for shape and support. An elasticated tongue and lace loop holder strap secure the fit, and an integrated shift pad protects against abrasion where the foot meets the shifter. The sole construction is where the Speedflight earns its keep: Alpinestars’ TPF Transversal Protection Frame midsole is sandwiched between a dual-density rubber outsole with front protective walls and a compressed EVA comfort layer with lateral stabilizers. A 10mm drop and high sidewalls give the shoe a cradled, stable feel for riding and a comfortable stride for walking. An asymmetric heel counter molded in thermoplastic polyurethane, a material profiled on the Thermoplastic polyurethane Wikipedia entry, adds rear stability, while a removable OrthoLite insock keeps feet breathable over long wear. Dual-density ankle discs with external padding, a medial side reinforcement layer, and internal toe box and heel counter protection finish the build.
