Alpinestars SM3 Solid helmet ECE06/DOT Black Glossy brings a high-shine finish to a helmet engineered for MX, enduro, and off-road riding, built around advanced comfort and impact-protection technologies.

The thermo-injected shell uses a special polymer blend with varying degrees of thickness to deliver the optimal combination of impact protection and light weight, with a size medium weighing 1430g in ECE spec and 1460g in DOT spec. Maximized ventilation comes from 10 intake vents and seven exhaust ports, and five EPS inner parts across four densities manage volume and impact performance.

A tougher in-house chin standard has optimized the shell’s thickness and structure in the chin area for superior impact performance, while Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the inner EPS liner reduces rotational acceleration forces from oblique impacts, mimicking the brain’s own cerebrospinal fluid. The patented visor release system detaches with a precise, pre-determined force to reduce forces on the rider’s neck during a crash.

Hydration tube channels built into the cheek pads add convenience on long rides, and the comfort liner uses recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint. An Emergency Release System with removable cheek pads allows safe removal while the helmet is still on, and stainless steel D-rings with a soft 25mm textile chin strap keep the fit secure. Conforms to both DOT certification and ECE 22.06 homologation.
