Alpinestars SM3 Radium Helmet Ece06/dot Black Red Fluo/white Glossy is engineered for MX, enduro, and off-road riding, integrating advanced technologies designed to enhance ease of use, comfort, and impact protection.

A thermo-injected shell incorporates a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness, delivering the optimal combination of impact protection and light weight — a size medium weighs just 1430g in ECE spec and 1460g in DOT spec. Ten intake vents paired with seven exhaust ports maximize ventilation and heat transfer exchange, and five EPS inner parts across four densities effectively manage volume and impact performance.

Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the inner part of the main EPS liner acts as a slip plane to reduce rotational acceleration forces from certain oblique impacts, mimicking the brain’s own low-friction cerebrospinal fluid. The patented visor release system detaches with a precise, pre-determined force to reduce forces on the rider’s neck during a crash, and a new in-house chin standard — tougher than the base homologation requirement — has optimized shell thickness and structure in the chin area for superior impact performance.

Hydration tube channels are integrated into the cheek pads for convenience, and the comfort liner is built using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint. An Emergency Release System with removable cheek pads allows safe removal while the helmet is still on, and stainless steel D-rings paired with a soft 25mm textile chin strap round out the fit. Conforms to both DOT certification and ECE 22.06 homologation.
