The leather construction, a material long favored for riding gloves for its combination of durability and feel as covered on the Leather Wikipedia page, is strategically perforated to boost airflow and breathability during long stints in the saddle. Alpinestars’ DFS (Dynamic Friction Shield) technology reduces friction and abrasion in high-risk zones, and hybrid seam construction on the fingers trims material thickness for better feedback and control without sacrificing comfort. Underneath, strategically placed padding on the palm and thumb patch absorbs impact forces, while extensive foam reinforcement across the top hand, cuff, palm, and fingers adds further impact absorption. Palm and thumb grips, a touchscreen-compatible index finger, and adjustable wrist strap and cuff closures round out the functional design, with a suede PU leather pull tab for easy on-off.
