The shoe is shaped around a running shoe last, giving it a snug hold on the foot while leaving enough internal volume to prevent hot spots on longer rides. Alpinestars paired this fit with a 9mm heel-to-toe drop and an EVA midsole, mirroring the geometry of a performance trainer so walking feels smooth rather than awkward. Comfort continues with a removable OrthoLite® insock, whose Open Cell PU compound helps manage heat and moisture over repeated wear. A fully sealed Drystar® membrane sits between the shoe’s outer shell and its lining, rated to 5000mm of waterproofing and 5000g/m² breathability, comparable to the waterproof fabric systems built into technical outdoor gear. Safety features include a full-length CE-certified TPU inner sole plate, hidden ankle discs positioned on both sides of the foot, and a reinforced thermoplastic polyurethane panel across the gear shift zone to resist abrasion from repeated contact. An asymmetric outsole and oil-resistant dual rubber compound provide dependable grip in wet or unclean conditions. Finished in a vivid red and black colorway, this pair is CE certified to EN13634:2017, combining head-turning style with genuine riding protection.
