Protection sits at the center of Alpinestars Cr-X Drystar Riding Shoes Black/dark Gray/rust, a riding shoe built to defend the foot and ankle without giving up the flexibility riders need off the bike.

A full-length TPU inner sole plate runs the length of the shoe, CE certified for genuine riding protection while still allowing a natural heel-to-toe transition on foot. Hidden on either side of the ankle, discreet lateral and medial ankle discs made from tough thermoplastic polyurethane guard against impact without adding visible bulk, and the gear shift zone is reinforced with an additional abrasion-resistant TPU layer to handle repeated contact with the shifter. Alpinestars’ Transversal Protection Frame supports the foot on the footrest while still allowing enough forward flex for comfortable walking. Weatherproofing comes from the Drystar® membrane sealed between the outer shell and lining, rated to 5000mm of water resistance and 5000g/m² breathability, comparable to the waterproof fabric systems used in technical footwear. A running shoe last and 9mm sole drop keep the fit close and the walk natural, while an EVA midsole and removable OrthoLite® insock round out all-day comfort. Grip comes from an asymmetric outsole paired with an oil-resistant dual rubber compound for confident footing on slick surfaces. Finished in a rugged black, dark gray, and rust colorway, this shoe is CE certified to EN13634:2017 for real-world riding protection.
