BMW Motorcycle Helmet System 8 Carbon is a latest-generation modular helmet built for urban riding, touring, and everything in between, combining long-lasting comfort with genuine flexibility and protection.

The shell is built primarily from carbon fiber at 70%, blended with fiberglass and a carbon and aramid fiber mix, delivering strong impact absorption while keeping weight remarkably low. An inner layer of variable-density expanded polystyrene adds another layer of protection without adding bulk, and the polyurethane padding, wrapped in OEKO-TEX 100 certified polyester, stays soft against the skin over long rides.

Comfort runs deep here: available in just two shell sizes, the helmet keeps weight optimized across the board, and refined aerodynamics, including a large spoiler, reduce strain on the neck whether the helmet is closed or in the open position. Ventilation at the head and visor is easy to operate, and the helmet pairs an integrated sun visor with a main visor treated with anti-scratch coating and a PinLock 120 anti-fog insert for consistently clear vision. It’s also pre-equipped to accept the ConnectedRide Com P1 intercom, sold separately.

As a modular design, the helmet locks securely into position through a multi-joint mechanism, opening with a single press of the central button while guarding against accidental release. Safety centers on the integrated MIPS Integra TX system, which reduces rotational force on the head during a fall, backed by a neck retention system and a micrometric buckle for secure, precise fastening.
