Constructed entirely from premium kangaroo leather, the Racing Absolute v2 provides exceptional lightweight comfort and superior abrasion resistance. Dual layers of kangaroo leather are strategically placed in high-impact zones such as the elbows, forearms, hips, seat, and back to ensure maximum protection during high-speed slides.
For enhanced flexibility and safety, the suit integrates Kevlar®-reinforced stretch inserts at critical areas including the crotch, inner arms, and armpits. These Kevlar® Grid panels offer increased cut, tear, and abrasion resistance while significantly reducing heat transfer during friction with the asphalt. Alpinestars‘ proprietary Composite Stretch technology, A-CS®Tech, replaces traditional leather accordion panels in areas such as the side torso, upper knees, and shoulder blades. A-CS®Tech is not only 9% lighter than leather but also offers 30% stretchability and vastly superior tear resistance—248% higher than racing fibers and 570% greater than leather.
The suit also incorporates Matryx® material in the lower leg for additional weight savings and breathability. Kevlar® stretch zones in the inner arms, back of the legs, collar, and chest further enhance rider mobility and comfort without sacrificing protection.
Advanced armor includes race-grade GP-R PRO CE Level 2 protectors at the shoulders, elbows, forearms, and knees, with CE Level 1 Bioflex protectors at the hips. Schoeller®-keprotec seam reinforcements and external GP DFS sliders add to the suit’s elite protection system.
